When a tooth is in bad enough shape that it can no longer be saved, the tooth needs to be taken out. This will eliminate any source of infection into your body. Depending on the tooth, Dr. Sherer will either take the tooth out for you or send you to a skilled Oral Surgeon that can remove the tooth for you.
